The Historical Qutub Minar

History associated with the art and architecture and the rest of these old aged building still shows the understanding and capabilities of the people and Ruler of that time.

It is said that the Qutub Minar and its complex area came into existence in 12th century and a mosque was erected there first and then the work of the tower started by the then Emperor of India Sultan Qutbuddin Aibak. 

In the Qutub complex area you will find three Mosque extended by different Rulers, Qutub Minar a 72.5 meter high tower which is a world heritage site,  an Iron pillar which date back to 4th century and many ruins, tomb and wells in its area. The Alai minar and darwaza is also the main attraction of this complex with lots of inscriptional panels and designs.

The Chandni chowk Market

Now the world famous old Delhi and chandni chowk area is the main attraction of visitors. Which in the time of Mughals was a beautiful market, with many different streets selling only one particular object. But not like today’s as everyone try to sell their products on the street together.

It is so much congested today that you can not even walk on the pedestrians easily. The roads are narrow and not in very good condition. All the streets chocked with many moving rickshaws, hand carts, bullock carts, vendors and people all around. The Royal Palaces

One of the beautiful example of Indo-Islamic architecture built by the Persian architect in 1572. This beautiful and sturdy red sandstone structure of 16th century, built for the last resting place of Humayun The second Mughal Emperor of India.

He was very fond of study about astronomy and astrology and always tried his understanding about the stars and their movements in his rule and regulation also. Humayun died accidentally by while coming down from his library to give his prayer. he was buried first in the same Fort and later transferred to the Tomb in 1572.

In this tour of Delhi special tour, you can visit all the palaces and Gardens of Red Fort. The other beautiful and attractive site near Red Fort is the largest Royal Mosque of India built on an elevated plateform by the fifth Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in 1656 for their subjects, still in use and five time Prayer is being worshiped here with lots of foreign visitors to admire its simplicity and beautiful calligraphy on its 10 Arch.

Now the time is to see nearby the Jama mosque famous and very busy Asian market which is called the Chandni chowk or full moon intersection normally bazars in India, always busy and having hundreds of narrow streets where you can go only by rickshaw or by foot.

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi or literally known as Mahatma Gandhi’s cremation place in a green garden which is called Rajghat near old Delhi is very popular visiting place among Indian and foreign Guest. In the premises of this clean and calm green garden there is a black marble rectangular platform with a big lamp of eternal flame lit to commemorate the great personality who had been cremated here the next day of his assassination on 30 January 1948. 

One of the beautiful example of Indo-Islamic architecture built by the persian architect in 1572. you will wonder knowing that the tomb of Humayun was commissioned by eldest widow Bega Beghum due to immense love and respect for her husband and is the predecessor of  Taj Mahal and other tomb building during the Mughal period.

India gate or say Indian soldiers memorial Gate about 42.5 meter high this is a very popular attraction for both Indian and Foreign visitors built by a British architect in 1931 as a part of the colonial capital city shifted from Calcutta. India gate connected to President house of India with a straight road called as Rajpath and is used every year for Indian republic day celebration on 26 january.   

The landmark of Delhi a tower of wonderful architect with lots of calligraphy of Kuran and mix different ondulating leaves and flower designs make this victory tower of Qutb-ud-din Aibak an attractive world heritage, also you have many things and ruin structure in its complex area. 

This is a very old and famous step well in the heart of New Delhi  known as Connaught Place is considered to be the 10th century built step well built only for the rainwater harvesting and popularly known as Ugersen/Agarsen ki Baoli a mythological king of Agra but at the same time you can find a small mosque here probably built in 13th century as described, however this step well is very impressive.
