The biggest mosque of India Shahi Jama masjid, had been built by Shahjahan the 5th Mughal Emperor of India in 1656 after he shifted his capital from Agra to Delhi and also built the so called seven city of Delhi with Red fort and Chandni chowk market surrounded with rampart walls and provided with 14 gates now only few survived.

This magnificent Mosque is located in old Delhi and surrounded by many houses, apartments and market streets which serve all type of things. From the high platform of the Mosque you can have a view of all its surroundings and a birds eye view of Red fort as well.

LOTUS TEMPLE

Walk in the lush green garden of Lotus Temple A beautiful structure built in 1986 lure the attention of millions. AKSHARDHAM TEMPLE

The biggest temple of Hindu Religion which had been built newly in Delhi. But the characteristic and artwork seem to be very antique and old. Though It is new and really a great deal of time had been spent to carve and design many of its sculpture and idols of humans, animals, birds and deities of Hindu religion related to many associations of their faith.

Apart from outer and inner designs and artwork you can enjoy some time seeing  many elephant idols which seem to supporting the main plinth of the temple on their back. These all had been carved in pink sandstone of Jaipur city while red sandstone and white Crrara marble in its inner sanctumn within a span of five years. GURUDAWARA BANGLA SAHIB

This is the one of the many Sikh Temple of Sikh Religion. Bangla sahib is the biggest Gurudwara in Delhi. It was constructed as a small shrine in 1783. Bangla Sahib or a Bungalow which belonged to Raja Jai singh, was also known as Jaipura Palace where the 8th Guru Har krishan ji of Sikh religion used to stay here in 1664.

The complex area has a water pond and a water well which had been used to give the water to people who got infected with the cholera desease and got cured. It is still considered to have healing powers and still in use and free for all. The other attraction here is the big kitchen known as lunger for the food supply to everyone. Without seeing their cast,creed and religion, this is free and as a service to save the humanity.

Now the time is to see nearby the Jama mosque famous and very busy Asian market which is called the Chandni chowk or full moon intersection normally bazaars in India, always busy and having hundreds of narrow streets where you can go only by rickshaw or by foot to see many things produced and sold by locals and so called the local bazaar. you can see hanging cables and sometime monkeys crawling and jumping on it while the people walking in a creepy style.

A very attractive and beautiful piece of art, the Lotus Temple of Bahai Faith built in a lush green Garden is a popular place in Delhi. You can have beautiful pictures of the temple and also you can see artificial water ponds surrounding the building resembling the flower is blooming in the pond as in its natural way, it has nine openings with a prefabricated roof and petals design is really eye catching.

Birla Mandir as it is known popularly is a Hindu temple of Lakshmi Narayan built in the year 1937 by a business family known as Birla family and so is called Birla Temple, it allowed everyone to visit without any bias of cast, creed and religion. This temple is very attractive with many idols, sculpture and designs of many different attributes of Hindu religion. 

Note: You need to cover your heads with scarves provided, Shoes and even socks are not permitted inside the shrine, you can carry your mobile and camera inside but are not supposed to take picture in the complex of Gurudwara, but from the outside it is possible you can take the picture.
